Following on from delivering Financial Education to more than 1200 Secondary School children in schools in Nairn and Moray, with funding from the MSE charity the Nairn CAB Financial Education team have just completed further Financial Education presentations to 870 primary school children in Millbank, Rosebank, Auldearn and Cawdor primary schools.

Working in teams of two the whole job was completed in five days as part of a joint Health Week scheme involving other agencies and activities. Team leader, Mrs Helen Bell, said that the children seemed to enjoy the change of subject very much indeed and many of the children already showed a keen interest in money matters.

The six team members, who are volunteers with Nairn CAB, were very impressed with the standard of mental arithmetic and classroom discipline which appeared to be very much against the trend as reported in the national press. Well done, our local schools.
