Armed Services Advice Project

The Armed Services Advice Project (ASAP) has been created to be the focal point for the Armed Forces Community in Scotland for access to advice, information and support.

ASAP is provided by the Scottish Citizens Advice Bureau Service and funded by a number of well respected military charities including PoppyScotland, the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, ABF the Soldiers’ Charity, The Maritime Charities Funding Group, and SSAFA – The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association.

Who?

ASAP can help if you are in one of the following groups: currently serving in the Armed Forces, either Regular or Reserve, or a dependant of someone who is; have previously served in the Armed Forces, either Regular or Reserve, or a dependant of someone who has; a member of the Merchant Navy who served in a commercial vessel in support of legally defined UK military operations, or a dependant.

What?

We have information on a comprehensive range of issues, including:
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Benefits, War Pensions, Debt and Money Advice, Relationships, CSA, Housing/Homelessness, Employment.

We have active links with other organisations such as Combat Stress, SSAFA forces Help, Veterans Welfare Service, RBLS, PoppyScotland
