Fundraising for New Digital Hub

Fundraising for New Digital Hub

23rd March 2021

To celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2022, Rotary Nairn has agreed that their Club’s community project will be making a donation of £15.000 to Nairn CAB for the provision of IT and furniture to equip the Community Digital Hub in our new premises The Digital Hub will help the digitally disadvantaged by providing support to make and manage online benefit applications, provide access to a huge range of social, educational and recreational activites and provide information and awareness training session to those who work and live in the community.

Working in partnership with Nairn CAB, the relevant funds will be raised through a series of fundraising activities, held over a twelve-month period, commencing with participation in the ' Kiltwalk' Weekend from the 23rd to 25th April.

The Rotary Club of Nairn Charitable Trust (RCNCT) has registered as a charity with the ‘KiltWalk’ and all sponsorship funds raised through their charity account, will receive 50% extra courtesy of the Hunter Foundation.

There are a number of ways you can become involved in helping us raise funds, after registering on the KiltWalk website and nominating RCNCT as your charity, by visiting http://www.kiltwalk.co.uk

o   take part in 6 mile walk around Nairn with Rotary Nairn

o   a shorter 3-mile walk with Nairn CAB

o   create your own sponsored event – knitting, sewing, reading…

o   there may be fun challenges for children available.

o   Rotary Nairn has two 4 balls playing a round of golf – another 4 members could be able to compete against them on Friday 23rd April

o   Are there any members of Nairn Dunbar who could play a sponsored round of golf over the Kilt Walk weekend?

If you don’t wish to take part but wish to just donate, you can either sponsor someone who is taking part by visiting their just giving page or make a donation to NairnCAB by visiting   https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ScotlandsVirtualKiltwalk2021-NairnCab

If you decide to take part, and I hope lots of you will, it is important that you follow the PDF registration guidance below. Once you have registered you will receive a personalised Just Giving page to share with friends and family.

There is a registration fee and we don’t want this to be a barrier to you participating, so you can still take part in the Kilt Walk, as part of the Nairn CAB team without registering but help us raise funds by sharing the NairnCAB, Just Giving page  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ScotlandsVirtualKiltwalk2021-NairnCab    with families and friends who may sponsor you – you just won’t get a personalised page.

If you'd like to get involved and not sure how or need any help and assistance contact us at Nairn CAB on 01667 456677 or email bureau@nairncab.casonline.org.uk.

Many thanks.
